We have tested and measured the crowdsourced data in the Philippines. For the extensive analysis, 474 thousand users have contributed 474 million samples in 6 months (W20 2019 to W43 2019). In our nationwide assessment, 99.2% of the urban „built-up area“ and 70.4% of the non-urban „built-up area“ were tested.

SEA Games

The Philippines successfully hosted the 30th round of the South East Asian Games, from the 30th of November to 11th December 2019. Games covered 56 sports, with around 8,750 athletes and team officials; 2,050 technical officials, 1,500 press and media attendees; 12,000 volunteers; targeted more than 500 million viewers; synergizing, converging, cooperating for ONE sporting experience of a lifetime!
The Main hub was in Clark (Northern Philippines) with the creation of the New Clark City Sports Village. The secondary was in Subic Bay Freeport Zone with the Tertiary Hub in Metro Manila/ nearby areas.


Smart in SEA Games
PLDT/SMART is the official telecom partners of the 30th Southeast Asian Games. SMART had done a massive planning for the SEA Games event starting from the Indoor venues including 3 mains Arenas extended to the surrounding outdoor areas in 3 Cities for fans gathering ended with the connecting Expressways.
In the preparation of the SEA Games SMART had deployed 77 Multi-Technologies Radio Sites and upgraded 116 Radio Sites to ensure a superior customer experience. The Data Services Performance is the main challenge in such events therefore SMART and extendedly its vendors put all resources to achieve this. “We are happy to work with the government in bringing our cutting-edge solutions closer to more Filipinos. This showcase at the 30th SEA Games is a good opportunity to demonstrate how technologies powered by 5G can enhance the ways Filipinos live, work and play,” said Manuel V.
